OILS AND FATS INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS

The Oils and Fats International Congress (OFIC) is one major event of MOSTA. Incorporating the Oils and Fats International (formerly OFTEX), OFIC is a major event where oils and fats scientists and professionals from all over the world gather to discuss issues and latest development in the science, technology and economics of oils and fats, and other lipid associated substances.

5 – 8 Sept 1994 - First held in Kuala Lumpur, OFIC’94 was attended by 350 participants from 34 countries. The Exposition also attracted 60 exhibitors.


4 – 8 Sept 2000 - The second OFIC 2000 held at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur was well attended by 458 participants from 34 countries. A total of 57 exhibitors also participated at OFTEX 2000.

7 – 10 Oct 2002 - The Third OFIC 2002 was held at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. About 440 delegates from 19 countries attended the Congress while 57 exhibitors from 9 countries took part in OFTEX 2002.

29 Sept – 2 Oct 2004 - The Fourth OFIC 2004 was held at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. About 447 delegates from 35 countries attended the Congress while 78 exhibitors from 14 countries took part in OFTEX 2004.

11 – 14 Sept 2006 - OFIC 2006 was held at the Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. About 380 delegates from 31 countries attended the Congress while 68 exhibitors took part in OFI Asia 2006.

11 – 13 Sept 2007 - OFIC China 2007 was held at Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre Guangzhou, China. About 200 participants from 15 countries attended the Congress.

21 – 23 Oct 2008 - OFIC 2008 was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. About 300 delegates from 30 countries attended the Congress while 64 exhibitors took part in OFI Asia 2008.

19 – 22 Oct 2010 - OFIC 2010 was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Theme was "Oils and Fats Industry: Challenges and Innovative Solutions." Read more here.

Oil and Fats International ASIA 2010 More than 41 companies will be exhibiting at the Oil and Fats International Asia 2010 (OFI ASIA 2010), an exhibition held in conjunction with OFIC 2010 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur from 20-22 October 2010. 22nd ISF WORLD CONGRESS AND EXHIBITION 1997

MOSTA is a member of the International Society for Fat Research (ISF) which is a confederation of 24 oils and fats organisations from all over the world. ISF organises the ISF World Congress and Exhibition regularly and MOSTA hosted the 22nd ISF World Congress and Exhibition from 8 – 12 September 1997 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
